Elizabeth Russell, DVMDr. Liz Russell graduated from Tufts Veterinary School in 1996 and has worked in many aspects of veterinary medicine. She worked for two years with horses in Pennsylvania, but decided to move back to Boston to be closer to friends and family. She worked in West Bridgewater for the next 9 years. For 5 years, she worked in an emergency and critical care clinic caring for pets with serious illness and trauma before switching to the general care arm of the practice where she practiced for 4 years.
Meghan Sainte, DVMDr. Sainte, (previously known as Dr. Clark) first joined the Healthy Paws team as a technician back in 2012. Before working as one of our start technicians, she graduated from UConn with a B.S. in Animal Science in 2011 and then graduated from Tufts Veterinary School in 2015. After graduation she came back to Healthy Paws to work as one of our veterinarians. She enjoys time with her rescue dog and cat- Savannah and Molly. Her professional interests include feline, shelter, and internal medicine.
Stephanie Fullerton, DVMDr. Fullerton graduated from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She was always excited to be a general practitioner and spent her time focusing on internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry. She was the Bayer Communication Award recipient for her class and enjoys creating lasting relationships with her clients and their pets. She previously worked at small animal general practices in Cambridge and Holliston and is happy to find a new home here in Westborough.
Megan Andreassi, DVMDr. Andreassi attended Wellesley College where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. In 2012 she obtained a Master of Science degree in Animals and Public Policy from Tufts University, where her area of focus was animal welfare and the human animal bond. She graduated from Tufts University’s Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2018 and received the AAHA award for excellence in primary care.
Janice Derby-ShearerJan has always had a passion for animals and people. She began her professional career as a teacher for disabled adults where she spent as much time learning from them as she did teaching. She entered the medical field in an OB/GYN office, and went on to work in family practice and then outpatient psych. From there she ran a referral program connecting primary doctors with specialists while working for a holistic veterinarian in Hopkinton as a veterinary technician and office support.
Sarah, CVT, TechnicianSarah graduated from Becker College with an Associate degree in Veterinary Technology. She has been a veterinary technician since 2008. Sarah spends most of her free time with her husband and their son, Jack.
Katy, TechnicianKaty has been working as a veterinary technician since 2003. She keeps herself very busy with pet sitting and taking care of her two children, Patrick and Nora. She takes great pleasure enjoying her partner’s cooking and traveling home to Scotland to see her family.
Heather, TechnicianHeather graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in February 2012 with a B.S. in Wildlife Ecology. She worked at two aquariums shortly after were she trained and cared for endangered African Penguins, Fur Seals, and Sea lions. Heather is the proud owner of two handsome cats- Logan and Boots.
Kaylee, TechnicianKaylee graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2014 with a B.S. in Animal Science as well as Spanish. Straight from school Kaylee became a veterinary technician. She has a passion for fitness and teaches Zumba classes on the side. Kaylee is also a proud mom to two fur babies- Sassy and Rain.
Meghan, Technician / MarketingMeghan has been working as a veterinary technician since 2015. Before coming into the medical field she obtained an Associate degree in Business and worked in management at a dog daycare/boarding facility. She spends most of her free time on adventures with her husky- Silver.
Laurie, TechnicianLaurie has been in the veterinary field since 2004. She came to us from emergency medicine to be part of our Healthy Paws family. She has a passion for rescuing cats and kittens in need. She lives at home with her 10 rescue cats and dog- Kokobutt.
Leah, TechnicianLeah has been a veterinary technician since 2014. She graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2017 and is now studying to become a veterinarian at Tufts University.
Tina, Technician / GroomerTina started working in veterinary offices in 2003. She has loved animals her entire life so after raising her daughter she started rescuing and caring for all different kinds of animals. She spends her free time caring for her 8 cats, 2 dogs, 2 Holstein dairy cows, 5 Boer goats, 5 roosters, and 8 hens.
Alisha, CVT, TechnicianAlisha graduated from Becker College with a Bachelor in Veterinary Technology. Before joining the Healthy Paws team she worked at Idexx as a specimen processor. She spends her free time with her adorable pitbull, Bernadette.
David, TechnicianDavid obtained a B.A. in Biology from the College of Holy Cross, and he aspires to be a veterinarian in the near future. During his free time David loves playing with his flock of 12 parakeets and 2 labs, Lily and Lucy.
JennaJenna has been working in client communications since 2011. In her spare time she enjoys an active lifestyle playing on a women’s softball league and walking her family dogs- Cody and Lucy.
StefanieStef has spent her professional career working in restaurants since 2010. She has always had cats and dogs and joined our team to explore veterinary medicine.

Dr. Robert McCarthy, DVM, DACVSHealthy Paws works with board certified orthopedic specialist on a scheduled as needed basis. Dr. McCarthy is a veterinary surgeon specializing in both orthopedic and soft tissue surgery.
