Jillian Gartner has years of experience grooming pets and show dogs, specializing in Poodles. Her own dog Charlie has won national show awards.

Besides grooming, she trains assistance dogs for people with disabilities, and participates in many activities with her own dogs including agility, therapy, search and rescue, conformation and rally obedience.

Trimming to help accentuate certain features or minimize hair/coat prob-lems of particular breeds. Does your Golden need his/her feet/ears/tail neatened a bit? Is your Shih Tzu’s hair growing into her eyes? Maybe your Springer Spaniel is ready to have their pattern re-clipped.

Comfort Clip
Essentially a stylish shave down. It is geared toward animals that have lots of matting, or have a skin con-dition that needs to be treated.

Teddy Bear Clip
For that ‘cute and cuddly’ look for any long-haired dog. Since this is almost entirely scis-sored, it is only available to dogs that come in without excessive matting (as determined by groomer) and stand politely for the grooming process.

A healthy pet is one that is clean, fresh, and mat-free. Their nails should not touch the floor, they should have no hair irritating their eyes and ear canals, no urine or feces caught in their tail… and they shouldn’t be leaving clumps of hair around your house.

Feline Comfort Clip
For severely matted cats or those who neglect their own grooming, a short clip close to the body will also include legs, upper neck, throat and parts of the tail as needed to provide optimal comfort.

Peek-A-Boo Clip
In the peekaboo cut, the fur on the cat's under-belly is shortened, but the length is blended into the longer fur on the cat's back. While this gives the cat a full-coated look, it reduces the attention necessary for the cat's stomach fur, which can be prone to matting and picking up debris.

Hygenic Clip
For cats who have difficulty cleaning themselves after litter box use, hair around the perianal area is shaved to prevent clumping of stool on long fur.
