Healthy Paws Veterinary Center is proud to have a dedicated group of outstanding individuals working together to provide the best service for you and your pets.

Team work is our motto and together we:
We team up to deliver outstanding veterinary care to our patients.
We team up with clients to help them understand the options and decide the best veterinary care for their pets.
We team up with local shelters and rescue groups to provide care for pets waiting to be adopted.

Liz Russell, DVM
Dr. Liz Russell graduated from Tufts Veterinary School in 1996 and has worked in many aspects of veterinary medicine. She worked for two years with horses in Pennsylvania, but decided to move back to Boston to be closer to friends and family. She worked in West Bridgewater for the next 9 years. For 5 years, she worked in an emergency and critical care clinic caring for pets with serious illness and trauma before switching to the general care arm of the practice where she practiced for 4 years. In 2007, Dr. Russell decided to follow her dream and open her own practice which has culminated in the opening of Healthy Paws Veterinary Clinic. Having worked in so many areas, she recognizes the need for a strong bond between the client, the pet, and the veterinarian to ensure a healthy and fulfilling relationship for all throughout the pet's life. Medical decisions can be very tough for people, but having a trusted veterinarian who knows you and your pet will make difficult decisions easier.

Mischa Leavey, DVM
Dr. Leavey graduated from Tufts Veterinary School in 2009 and worked in a busy small animal hospital before joining the Healthy Paws team. Her interests include preventative medicine, endocrinology and dermatology.

When she is at home, she is busy keeping up with her 1 and 1/2 year old son. In addition, her furry children include her two dogs, Marley and Fender, and two cats, Coletrane and Gremlin.

Chelsea Pomeroy, DVM

Dr. Pomeroy graduated from Tufts Veterinary School in 2011.  She went on to complete an internship in small animal medicine and surgery in West Hartford, CT prior to joining the Healthy Paws team.  Her professional interests include surgery, ophthalmology, and preventative medicine.  In her spare time she enjoys hiking with her black lab, Jake.
